1. What this policy covers

This policy explains how U-Snap it ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our intake form to describe a home-improvement project and when a contractor uses our dashboard to manage leads.

2. Information we collect

Contact details you provide: full name, email address, phone number, and project address.
Project details: type of project, timeline, budget range, and a description or video walkthrough.
Video and audio you record or upload through the intake form.
Device and usage data: browser type, IP address, and interaction events (e.g., which step you reached). Used to diagnose issues and improve the product.
Consent signals: whether you checked the consent box and the timestamp of your submission.

3. How we use your information

To deliver your project summary and media to the contractor you selected.
To contact you about your project via phone, SMS, or email, as you consented to at submission.
To operate, secure, and improve the service.
To comply with legal obligations.

4. Who we share it with

The contractor you submitted your project to — they receive your full submission, including video.
Service providers that help us host the platform, send messages, analyze video, or provide analytics. They may only process your data to support our service.
Legal authorities, when required by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. How long we keep it

We retain submissions and media for as long as needed to deliver the service to the contractor, respond to inquiries, and meet legal obligations, typically up to 3 years after your last interaction. You may request earlier deletion (see section 7).

6. How we protect it

We use TLS (HTTPS) in transit, access controls on our systems, and encryption-at-rest where supported by our storage provider. No online service is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee against every risk.

7. Your rights

Access / correction: request a copy of your data or correct inaccuracies.
Deletion: request removal of your submission.
Opt-out of SMS: reply STOP to any text message from us.
Opt-out of email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
California (CCPA), EU/UK (GDPR), and other regional rights apply where relevant.

8. Children

U-Snap it is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. Changes to this policy

We'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, give you reasonable notice before they take effect.
